Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus[2] (/ˌraɪns ˈpriːbəs/ ryns pree-bəs;[3] born March 18, 1972) is an American attorney and politician who is currently the chairperson of the Republican National Committee (RNC). He had previously served as RNC general counsel, and is the former chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, where he is credited with helping to bring nationally known figures such as Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker into power on the state level and into prominence on the national stage.
